Weekly Robotics Beginner-friendly tutorials, every week

Why we started this

Robotics is one of the most exciting fields in technology — but it can feel overwhelming to get started. Between the jargon, the hardware choices, the software ecosystems, and the sheer breadth of the field, it's easy to feel lost before you've even turned on your first microcontroller.

Weekly Robotics exists to change that. We believe that anyone — regardless of background — can learn to build robots. Our tutorials are written with the assumption that you're curious and motivated, not that you already have a degree in electrical engineering.

What we cover

Every Monday we publish a new tutorial. Topics range from the very basics (what is a microcontroller, anyway?) to more advanced concepts like setting up CAN bus communication, choosing a reinforcement learning framework, or understanding the difference between 2D and 3D cameras.

We try to keep each tutorial self-contained so you can jump in wherever you are in your journey. That said, we do have a recommended reading order for complete beginners — check out our Getting Started section.

Our philosophy

We write for humans, not search engines. That means we explain the "why" behind things, not just the "how." We use plain language, real examples, and we're not afraid to say "this part is confusing — here's how to think about it."

Robotics should be welcoming and fun. We deliberately avoid the hyper-masculine, intimidating aesthetic that dominates a lot of robotics content. Our mascot is a friendly little robot who waves hello. That's the vibe.
